Petries' Rakaia Pinot Noir 2007
This is a simple and pure lightly oaked Pinot Noir. Deliciously light with soft plum fruit flavours, this wine is ready to drink now. Either enjoy on its own or complement with food. It is a particularly pleasant as a chilled summer wine. Retail price is between $19 and $20.
Petries' Rakaia Riesling 2008
Congratulations to Petries' whose Riesling has just won a bronze medal in the 2009 Royal Easter Show!
This is an "off-dry" style Riesling. Floral notes combine with limes and citrus and crisp acidity to make a perfect match for seafood, chicken and salad dishes. The retail price is between $14 and $16.
Petries' Rakaia Chardonnay 2008
..is lightly oaked with classical Chablis style brightness . The bouquet is green apple and lemons and the taste has hints of vanilla with lemon and lime. The minerally crispness keeps your palate tingling and fresh. The 2008 is young , as it ages the colour will become golden and the flavours more spicy. Our chardonnay complements grilled fish, white meats and even curry and tandoori.
Petries' Rakaia 2008 Pinot Noir
This lighter coloured Pinot Noir brings another choice to our range . It is a perfect Sunday Lunch wine with it’s lovely Canterbury Pinot Noir bouquet and fresh taste of summer berries finishing with glace cherries. From experience we can say it also compliments dinner of medium rare rump steak, baked potato and lightly steamed courgette, red capsicum and avocado salad.
